(Minghui.org) May 13, 2022, was the 30th Anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa and the 23rd World Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners from the Netherlands, held a rally and a parade on Dam Square in Amsterdam to celebrate.
The parade started at 1 p.m. on Dam Square, passed through the Damrak St., Chinatown, and went back to the square along Damstraat St.

Jan Tomaszewski, executive deputy chef at a local company, likes to meditate on weekdays. When he saw practitioners doing the exercises, he commented on the importance of protecting different cultures and reflected on Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. He said, “I sense their compassion and forbearance, which are the core values that everyone should strive for. If people follow these values, if everyone is focused on improving themselves, I think it’s going to have a positive and huge impact on the world.”
After hearing about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, Tomaszewski said, “Such inhumane things cannot be tolerated. More people need to stand up. This must be changed. It must be stopped. The top priority of every world political policy should be the fight for democracy and freedom.”

When Presian, a college student, stopped to find out about Falun Gong, he signed the petition to condemn the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from practitioners in China.
“For the benefit of the people, I hope these things can be brought to an end,” he said. “The CCP fights against ancient Chinese traditions, which is also terrible to me. Although I come from a country with a communist history, it is shocking that such things are still happening in the 21st Century.
“I know that no one in China is free to express their religion or opinion. But I didn’t expect the CCP to be so evil that it incarcerates people and even harvests their organs! I just can’t believe what I am being told.
“I’ve been doing meditation lately, trying to think of others’ needs first. And today I saw these three words–Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance–and I thought, ‘This is exactly what I was looking for! This core value is close to what is in my heart. It is important to practice these values in daily life! If more people began to value these principles, the world would certainly become a better place.’”

Nick, a retired teacher from the United States, said, “I don’t think there is any reason for the Chinese government to be afraid of Falun Gong, given the principles they follow, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. I was told the truth about this persecution years ago. It is terrible to carry out organ harvesting from living people—their own people! More action should be taken against it. The persecution should end, not only for Falun Gong but also for other groups.
“Because the CCP strictly controls the dissemination of information, a lot of things are happening in China, and it is difficult for the outside world to know the truth. I think the truth of this persecutions needs to be made known to more of the public.”

Ms. Roela, a journalist and personal trainer, saw the practitioners doing the exercises.
She thought they were beautiful and peaceful. “Their cultivation style can bring a lot of tranquility and cohesion. I once read Falun Dafa’s book, which is rich in content, informative, and very inspiring. It promotes Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, sincerity, tolerance, etc., which are not just traditional values. It’s also a universal law that applies to everyone, it’s everywhere, it’s forever, and I really believe that,” said Ms. Roela.
“I think that Falun Dafa cultivation can bring beauty, care, and wisdom, and can play a positive role for human beings.
“I know why Falun Dafa is persecuted. Because those who do evil use an evil way of thinking and an evil way of acting to suppress beautiful things. Today, I must sign a petition in the hope that one day this cruel act of illegal organ harvesting from living beings will be stopped. ”
