Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the Fisher’s Ghost
Parade at the Campbelltown City Festival on the afternoon of November 1, 2008.
More than one hundred different groups participated in this annual parade.
It was estimated that about 70,000 people came to the festival. This is the sixth year for Sydney Falun Dafa practitioners to participate in the parade. The debut of the Divine Land Marching Band was a wonderful surprise for the attendees.
On August 6 2006, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the “Nambour Festival” (formerly known as the “Sugar Festival”) which is an annual event held on the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, Australia.
Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the Thirty-first City Festival Parade in Blacktown, the largest suburb of western Sydney. The parade attracted over 80 entries, and about 80,000 spectators lined both sides of the street along the route to watch.
Falun Gong practitioners in Canberra participated in Australia’s “National Folk Festival” on April 13-17, 2006. Most of the visitors had heard of the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong, and they expressed their admiration for the practitioners’ uncompromising spirits and their best wishes to the practitioners.
