Resuming the Practice

Zhang came to Singapore over a year ago and works in food processing. Both his parents practice Falun Dafa, and he has practiced with them since childhood. Because he was so young, however, he thought about having fun and did not continue practicing.

As the CCP’s persecution intensified in his region, Zhang’s father was detained for his faith and later died. Although his mother still practiced, Zhang stopped due to the ongoing persecution in China.

After coming to Singapore and working here, Zhang met a Falun Dafa practitioner in Chinatown. He read the materials the practitioner was distributing and was interested in rejoining the practice.

He searched online and was able to find a group practice site near his home. Six months ago Zhang started to do the exercises with other practitioners. This Nine Day Lecture Session was special for him because he said it helped him find inner peace. Watching the video also helped him understand Falun Dafa and cultivation.

Su works on intellectual property. Since both her parents were practitioners, she also joined them when she was a child. Due to her young age, she did not understand cultivation very well and stopped practicing. After graduating from college and finding a job, Su began meditating to reduce her stress from work. She said attending this session helped her gain a deeper understanding of what it means to cultivate oneself.

Jin is a native Singaporean and met a practitioner. The practitioner was also retired, but she looked young for her age and her movements were very graceful. This practitioner told Jin that she meditated and recommended the Nine Day Classes. Jin said she was glad to attend the Falun Dafa classes.

Several children also participated in the class. Amber said she was very happy here because she was able to watch Master’s lectures and the other practitioners helped her by correcting her exercise movements. Amber said she reads the Falun Dafa teachings by herself, but she’s sometimes distracted. She had a much better understanding this time after the session.

Zhenzhen is 7 and she was glad to watch the video lectures every day. She said she had a much better understanding now and knew the purpose of life. When her mother asked what she meant, Zhenzhen replied, “We have to be good people and return to our origin.”

The Singapore Falun Dafa Association is located near the Kallang train station. To help people learn about Falun Dafa and improve both body and mind, a Nine Day Lecture Class is offered free of charge once every three months.
