(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in the Body Mind Spirit Health Expo held in Botosani, November 25-27.

The city of Botosani is located between hills and lakes, and the Health Expo was held at the Uvitura Shopping Centre, with more than 80 booths. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and distributed information about Falun Dafa, and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the practice. They also offered people calendars, flyers and lotus flowers.

Yulia read the display boards. She talked with a practitioner and asked where the nearest practice site was.

Ismina and Gabriela listened with great interest as practitioners explained the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They liked them and Gabriela said, “Yes, it’s good not to talk back when you’re challenged or attacked because it prevents bigger problems.”

Iona and her friend Daria were touched after reading the information about the CCP’s persecution. They listened to a practitioner’s explanation. They said they didn’t know that the CCP was so evil and disregarded human life. Iona said she was interested in what she learned. She said she’s never seen reports on the CCP’s brutality in the media. She also said that she understood why the media does not report this information. She pointed out that the media should have the courage because, “We all should know what is happening in this world.” She thanked practitioners and took a magazine which had information about the CCP’s live organ harvesting.

An old man wanted to know the story behind the lotus flowers that the practitioners were distributing. A practitioner explained that the lotus flowers convey the following message: Just like lotus flowers that emerge from the mud and are not stained, a person with a kind nature abides by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance all his life and he can be as free from dirt as a lotus flower.

The man said that no one could do this in a world like today, which pushes people to go with the downward trend. He hadn’t heard about the CCP’s persecution of practitioners in China before. He said that the communist party was bad everywhere.

A young man selling products in the next booth talked with a practitioner. He was moved to tears while hearing the details of how practitioners are persecuted in China. He took several copies of the materials to show to his friends and he also took photos of the display boards.

A young woman thanked a practitioner for giving her a calendar and lotus flower. She said that from the bottom of her heart, she hopes to one day repay the kindness and deeds of the practitioners who did all these things without asking for anything in return. She said she wished to help those people who were in difficulty in China in some way. The practitioner thanked her for her kindness and told her that she could help by telling others what she learned during the event.

During the three-day event, many visitors learned about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution, and said that they would tell more people about what they learned.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.

Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.

Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.

Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organisation with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
