(Minghui.org) During a recent community event, Coogee Live in Perth, Western Australia, on March 11 and 12, residents and tourists alike had a chance to encounter Falun Dafa. Many people were impressed with the practice. One of them said that Falun Dafa “was pure, clean, and refreshing.”

Practitioners set up two booths to introduce Falun Dafa and demonstrate the exercises. Many people were interested and asked where the nearest group practice sites were. Some also bought Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa. One said the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance apply to everyone because people will have a better life if they follow them.

Eager to Know More

Poli Garzon talked with a practitioner for a long time and asked many questions. She bought a copy of Zhuan Falun and asked where the local group practice was, and how she could learn it online.

Impressed by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Garzon said she’d heard about Falun Dafa before and that someone from China had even told her what was happening over there. She said she enjoyed talking with the practitioner about Falun Dafa and was eager to learn more. She planned to look into it in detail.

Purity and Cleanliness

Having seen a Falun Dafa booth in Fremantle in the past, Aileen White was delighted to see practitioners again. For her, Falun Dafa means purity, cleanliness, and vitality. Plus, the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance apply to everyone.

Speaking of the suppression in China, White knew that innocent practitioners were mistreated in China for their faith so she thought it was important for practitioners to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, including forced organ harvesting. Many people do not know about the atrocities being committed in China, and need to be informed about those human rights violations.

The CCP Is Harming the World

Born in Perth, Western Australia, Ann’s family is Malaysian Chinese. When she saw the Petals of Peace presentation, she knew she would like this event. As she folded a lotus flower, she said she could feel kindness and peace. Like others, she noted that living by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can make our world happy and safe.

In contrast, she commented, the CCP wants to control people with greed. It just cares about its own interests and about staying in power, while ignoring the needs of its people. That is why Ann chose to learn Chinese in Taiwan, which focuses on more traditional values and freedom.

Tracey Elliott said she was drawn by the color and beauty of the Falun Dafa booth and felt it was serene. “It is a field filled with energy and peace. This world needs the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is especially important for the young generation,” she added.
