“Falun Dafa Is Good” Illuminates People’s Hearts

In those terrifying days when the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) initiated the persecution, many people listened to the Party’s lies and did not think for themselves. In order to awaken people, Falun Dafa practitioners sacrificed everything—sometimes even their lives. They went out late at night and hung banners with the words “Falun Dafa is good” on tall trees, telephone poles, and bridge railings, calling on people to wake up and understand the truth. When the sun rose, their banners were both colorful and startling.

On Sundays, some practitioners went out with their families to hang banners. The adults put them up in places high above the ground, and children put stickers with the words, “Falun Dafa is good” on walls and doors. They often walked for miles. When the children were too tired to walk, their parents carried them.

The banners hung from the railings of bridges were several meters tall, and they looked very dazzling in the sun. They floated high above the roadways and were beautiful and inspiring.

Practitioners commemorated the anniversary of the day Falun Dafa was introduced in one city. One year, the date coincided with Chinese New Year’s Eve, and the police hid in certain locations to arrest practitioners. One practitioner went out twice to put up banners, but both times the police were waiting nearby. He did not give up. Two days later, at 7 p.m., he was finally able to hang a Falun Dafa banner about two meters tall and three meters wide on a street guardrail, and everyone who passed by was able to see it clearly.

What’s even more amazing was that to commemorate World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, one dark night a practitioner hung a very tall banner from the top of a signal tower. The next morning people were amazed when they saw it, and they marveled at the skill of the person who must have climbed up there.

When this practitioner began climbing, she went up a few feet, then looked down, but felt it wasn’t high enough. She climbed higher and looked down again, but still felt it was too low. She kept climbing higher and higher until she reached the top. After she hung the banner and came down, she looked up and was surprised herself. The banner seemed to be hanging from the sky.

Distributing the Nine Commentaries

Distributing materials is another way practitioners keep people informed about the true situation in China. Sometimes the materials are distributed throughout the entire city. The next morning residents not only see “Falun Dafa is good” banners but also booklets with information that clarify the truth on their doors, on the courtyard walls, inside bicycle baskets, and so on.

The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in December 2004. Practitioners who run the material production sites printed the books, and other practitioners distributed them throughout the city overnight. Some residents were overheard commenting, “Heavenly messengers must have delivered these.”

After reading the Nine Commentaries, many people understood the true nature of the CCP and realised why the Party was persecuting practitioners. People were awakened and took the initiative to learn more about Falun Dafa. Many people withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organisations.

Clarifying the Truth to Court and Jail Staff

Whenever a practitioner is arrested, other practitioners go to the police station to ask for his or her release. They send forth righteous thoughts near the station. Because this has happened so many times throughout the years, many people have come to know what is going on, and practitioners use this opportunity to clarify the truth to them.

Many truth-clarification letters are sent to police stations, courts, procuratorates, and prisons. According to an insider, every day they receive a full basket of letters. Many practitioners who have strong righteous thoughts are also able to face the people in the police stations and courts in person and point out that they are committing crimes by persecuting practitioners. They remind them that they should leave themselves a way out.

Practitioners also clarify the truth to local lawyers. In 2012, six practitioners about to be tried hired a lawyer. During the trial, the judge asked if the practitioners had any requests, and one responded, “All CCP members must leave.” The CCP personnel in the audience were intimidated. The lawyer presented a sound defense, and the practitioners also explained the facts clearly. That opened up a new way to clarify the truth.

Suing the Initiator of the Persecution

Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the CCP, went above the law to initiate the persecution of Falun Dafa. He instructed the police, the procurator, and the judicial branches to illegally arrest, detain, and torture Falun Dafa practitioners; he instructed the media (radio, television, and newspapers) to slander Falun Dafa; he came up with the policies to “bankrupt them financially, and defame their reputations, and destroy them physically” and “people won’t be held responsible for killing Falun Dafa practitioners.”

Since 1999, countless Falun Dafa practitioners in the city and nearby areas have been illegally sentenced and detained in brainwashing centres, detention centres, and forced labor camps. Many were persecuted to death. Three local practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 1999. They never came back, still missing 23 years later.

On May 1, 2015, China’s judicial system introduced a case-filing registration system requirement that “all cases will be accepted, and all lawsuits will be judged.” Many practitioners in the area mailed criminal complaints against Jiang to the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate. Although some practitioners have been persecuted for suing Jiang, they have no regrets.

Clarifying the Truth Using Mobile Phones and in Person

The rapid development of science and technology and the emergence of electronic equipment and the Internet are not accidental. Since 2011, practitioners have been using mobile phones to send text messages and multimedia messages to clarify the truth.

At that time, the number of people who withdrew from the CCP every day increased rapidly, reaching twice the number before the widespread use of mobile phones. From 2012 to 2014, more than half of the local practitioners participated. Those who had technical expertise worked day and night to install the system on mobile phones. They were so busy that they even skipped meals. Most practitioners who participated had two phones, and some used up to 12 phones.

In 2006, some local practitioners began to go out to clarify the facts face-to-face to people. They soon clarified the facts to everyone in their own villages and helped them withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organisations. Then, they began going out to talk to people in nearby villages where there were no practitioners.

When it was almost the Chinese New Year, many workers and students returned home. Practitioners worked in groups to clarify the truth to every household.

Some practitioners go out every day to clarify the truth, and they can help ten people to withdraw from the CCP in less than two hours. Most do not take any breaks, and they even go out to clarify the truth on Chinese New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. One elderly practitioner has helped more than 5,000 people withdraw from the CCP every year.

On the streets and in the train stations, bus stops, shopping malls, supermarkets, parks, and open squares, there are practitioners clarifying the truth every day.

The practitioners who have continued to clarify the truth on the streets over the years are most admirable. They meet different people every day and clarify the truth to them with compassion and kindness. Sometimes they encounter people who are deeply poisoned by the CCP and don’t want to listen. Some are cursed at, attacked, and even driven away. Others have been harassed or even arrested and illegally sentenced. However, practitioners never give up and treat everyone with great compassion.

Distributing Materials

The CCP controls all the media in China and it spews propaganda to frame and slander Falun Dafa. It even staged and repeatedly broadcast the “Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident,” which poisoned many people.

In 2000, when the persecution was rampant, news and TV programs slandered Falun Dafa every day. Practitioners were very worried and used all kinds of ways to tell people the true situation. Practitioners in one village bought a large sheet of red paper and cut it into small pieces. Then they wrote messages on each piece and handed them out to tell people that Falun Dafa was good.

When truth-clarification materials became available to be downloaded from the Minghui website, practitioners began to print and distribute them. At first they used a mimeograph to print the leaflets. They later bought printing equipment and supplies. Family-run material production sites were established. Some practitioners in rural areas did not have much money, but they still contributed. As more materials became available, practitioners cooperated to distribute them in all the nearby villages once a month.

They also wanted to distribute materials to the villages where there were no practitioners. They went by motorcycle to villages 30 to 40 miles away, regardless of the sweltering summer heat or cold winter weather.

In one township, practitioners did a very good job clarifying the truth. They can now openly distribute truth-clarification materials and calendars in the market.

One elderly practitioner always goes by bike to the markets in different villages to sell her goods. For more than 20 years, she has gone to all the nearby villages, and the local people know her. Wherever she goes, she openly distributes materials and clarifies the truth. She lives just across from the police station. When she encounters police officers, she gives them materials to read. She has no fear.

Practitioners in the city have never stopped distributing truth-clarification materials since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Stickers with information about Falun Dafa can be seen everywhere. To prevent people from knowing the truth about Dafa, the CCP has used mobile phone monitoring, positioning, voice recognition, closed community management, electronic door card swiping, surveillance cameras, facial recognition, body recognition, locator tracking, etc.

On the Party’s “sensitive days,” the CCP increases monitoring and control. Especially since the outbreak of the COVID pandemic in Wuhan, residential community controls have become more stringent, causing increased difficulties for practitioners to clarify the truth and distribute materials. However, they did not stop and found ways to continue distributing materials.

Minghui journals and the Minghui Weekly are issued every week or so, and practitioners distribute them in a timely manner. They are distributed on all the streets and in all the buildings in the residential communities. They are distributed wherever there are people. This has gone on for more than 20 years.

Family Materials Production Sites Blossom

Since the very early days of the persecution, family-run material production sites have blossomed throughout our area. Practitioners who run them shoulder great responsibilities.

These sites play a vital role. The CCP has been brainwashing Chinese society for decades and is afraid of being exposed. Under such high pressure, initially, some non-practitioner family members were opposed. But gradually, due to practitioners’ firm belief in Master, strong righteous thoughts, and xinxing improvement, their family members began to understand and help practitioners.

Persevere in Saving People

From July 20, 1999, to the present, practitioners have been able to walk to this day with Master’s protection and with firm belief in Dafa. Today, the negative factors are almost eliminated, the Fa-rectification is about to end, and the historic vows practitioners made before coming to this world are soon to be fulfilled.

Practitioners have continued to clarify the truth without asking for anything in return, and they tirelessly help people and clarify the truth to them and explain the CCP’s lies despite the grave risks.
