Over 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners have gathered this week in Geneva to bring
attention to the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong in China during the United
Nation Commission on Human Rights annual meeting.
UK Falun Gong practitioner Lili Lin, after being imprisoned for 15 days in a deportation centre by the UK Home Office, was released around 2pm on March 14th. She left the deportation centre at London Gatwick Airport and is now back home in Liverpool.
According to an authority on Chinese law, there is no law in China that states that Falun Gong is illegal. Shortly after the ban of Falun Gong began in 1999, lawyers were forbidden to represent Falun Gong practitioners.
