A Sydney Chinese newspaper is being sued for defamation by the Falun Dafa meditation group over the paper’s publication of criticism by the Chinese Government consulate in Sydney.
The NSW Falun Dafa Association said today
it would sue a Sydney Chinese newspaper claiming it defamed the
ancient spiritual movement.
Jianjun was seen in the No.2 detention center at Huaihua in August 2003. At that time, he was as thin as a skeleton. He could not stand straight and had suffered severe injuries.
The plaintiffs in the legal action are distressed by the publication of that article and by the statements and suggestions made. They view the publication of such statements most seriously.
“Although I do not practice Falun Gong, I respect your beliefs. Those of you who cultivate ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance’ are all good people. No matter who stands against you, I will always stand by your side and support you!”
From April 16 to May 9, 2004, the 13th Argentina International Book Fair was held in the largest exhibit hall in the country’s capital city, Buenos Aires.
