On May 1, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Australia gathered in front of the Singapore Embassy to hold a peaceful appeal and a news conference. They were protesting the Singapore court’s unjust conviction of Falun Gong practitioners.
On Sunday the 1st May at 1:30pm both ACT and NSW Falun Dafa practitioners will hold an appeal and press conference outside the Singapore High Commission in Canberra.

I read with interest your article Too strong, too real, on the front page of the Noosa News of Friday, 15 April 2005. Such an art exhibition, and indeed such a terrible persecution of its own people taking place in China today, must stir the hearts and compassion of all concerned locals.
Australian Prime Minister Mr. John Howard will visit China at the end of April and sign trade agreements between the two countries. Before his departure, Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney held a candlelight vigil and urged Mr. Howard to put forward the Falun Gong issue to the Chinese government during his visit.

From March 25 to early April, there were a lot of activities all over Australia to celebrate the Easter Holidays. The Australian Falun Gong practitioners used the holiday time to clarify the truth and let more Australians learn about Falun Gong and the persecution in China.
Hundreds of people who visited the exhibition were deeply moved as they learned of the persecution that is being experienced by the countless and innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China. They were shocked that such a cruel and widespread persecution is happening in the 21st Century.
The Chinese Communist Party has been carrying out massive secret arrests across the country, spanning several provinces and many cities, according to numerous sources in China. The arrests are targeting anyone believed to have an affiliation with Falun Gong, and witnesses say that some cities are being controlled under martial law conditions.
