We are 1000 people from over 20 countries who have gathered here at the United
Nations Human Rights Commission, using our own time and money, as volunteers
to bring the attention of the world community to the torture, persecution and
murder Falun Gong practitioners in China are facing.
According to an authority on Chinese law, there is no law in China that states that Falun Gong is illegal. Shortly after the ban of Falun Gong began in 1999, lawyers were forbidden to represent Falun Gong practitioners.
This unfortunate couple has suffered brutal persecution while in China for practicing Falun Gong and luckily made it to Australia alive to tell the tragic story.
I am writing to you as a representative of the Friends of Falun Gong in Ireland to express extreme concern for the safety of Mr. Wang Juntao (66) and his wife Mrs. Wang Liluan (62), who are due to be deported back to China.
I have noticed recently that a story is unfolding, which given the current course of events may result in the incarceration and deaths of a number of innocent people.
As an Australian citizen and Falun Dafa practitioner I would like to express
my concern in regards to the Australian governments position on Falun Dafa.
The arguments given by the Immigration Department claiming that the two would not face danger on the grounds that they are not leaders, but only ordinary practitioners, do not hold.
People need to obtain reliable information from various perspectives in order to have an overall understanding of the social and natural environment they are in. Thus, they can react properly to people in their lives and reorient themselves accordingly.

When people are immoral, they have no scruples about lying to achieve their selfish ends. Often, such people will go to any extent in disguising their lies to avoid being exposed – as the saying goes, “lies breed more lies.”
After I arrived in Australia after being persecuted severely in China. I was interviewed by quite some reporters. Almost all of them were sympathetic when listening to my story and turned out to be very helpful later.
