Reports from China indicate that 29-year-old Xu Song is currently being detained and tortured at the First Detention Centre in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Mr. Song went on a hunger strike that, as of January 3, has lasted more than 50 days.

NEW YORK, December 30, 2002 (Falun Dafa Information Center) A 39-year-old medical doctor whose 5’6″ frame was reduced to 80 pounds from nine months of police brutality and forced-feeding, died on December 4, 2002.

During her detention, Gong went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was kicked, punched, and force-fed with food and medicine. The guards usually did not do it themselves. They ordered the criminals to pinch her tendons and force-feed her while plugging her nose.

Our fellow Falun Dafa disciple Wang Fengwei died from the torture in Shen County Detention Centre at the end of November 2002.

At the time her child was ill and needed medical attention. In front of the 10 year-old child, the police twisted his mother’s arm, slapped her in the face and even tied her up. This shocked the child so much that he would not stop crying.

The Falun Gong Information Centre in New York has received confirmation of the deaths of fifteen Falun Gong practitioners in the last month.

Mei Zhao woke up soaking wet in the freezing wind, shivering from the buckets of icy cold-water police guards were pouring over her head to revive her. She had passed out from the torture.

Beijing police abducted four female Falun Dafa practitioners in Beijing on December 31, 2001, while the practitioners were busy making truth clarification materials. After ten months of illegal detention, they were convicted and heavily sentenced by the Beijing First Intermediate Court on September 5, 2002.

Liao Zhaoqi, a 57-year-old Dafa practitioner and Director of Qionglai Health Care Clinic, was tortured to death at around 10 p.m. on October 3, 2002. Those responsible for her death are Dayi Rehabilitation Center Chief Zhang and Criminal Police Team Leader Zhou Wencai.

Since July 20, 1999, the Political and Security Subsection of Shijiazhuang Public Security Bureau has become a vicious team that solely and specifically persecutes Falun Gong practitioners.

According to reliable sources, Cai Mi has been tortured to the verge of death in prison. Her body is nothing but skin and bones. Her family can barely recognize her extremely distorted figure when they visit her.

Gao Shuying’s parents-in-law are over 80 years old. Her mother-in-law is paralytic. Her two children are still in high school. They all need her to look after them. In addition, her husband Xin Baodong has been persecuted many times for steadfastly practicing Falun Dafa.
